Thirteen million people are officially classed as living in poverty in the UK. Despite the misrepresentations surrounding social security claimants and their families, many children in the UK go to school hungry, pensioners struggle to pay their heating bills and full-time mothers are forced to take on two to three jobs at a time.
Muslims constitute around 4% of the UK’s population. Unemployment, overcrowding and child poverty are the community’s biggest problems with rates well above the national average.
