They feed the hungry, treat the sick and educate the child. It’s for this reason Ummah Welfare Trust runs a 100% donations policy.
A 100% donations policy means every single penny donated is used strictly for charitable efforts abroad (including project delivery costs). Donations go into a ‘charity-only’ bank account from which nothing is removed in the UK for fundraising or administration purposes.
Your donation is used for charitable work
Eligible donations are directed through a charity-only account and used for relief, development and Islamic projects.
Running costs are covered separately
Like any organisation, Ummah Welfare Trust has administration costs in the UK and overheads to meet.
Funds to compensate UK staff, pay utility bills and rents, cover accounting and legal costs, and fundraise are all needed to help the charity function.
The charity runs a separate administration-only bank account. This account has its own sources of funding, separate from the donations given for charitable projects.

Ummah Welfare Trust continues to transfer administration funds back into charity.
Alhamdulillah, in the past year, an extra £2.73 million has been transferred into the charity account, ensuring that even more of our brothers and sisters have been helped.
