Broken Healthcare Systems
A broken healthcare system is exacerbating the poverty crisis in both Syria and Afghanistan. Decades of war have left hospitals in both countries without proper equipment and supplies. Worse still, many staff remain unpaid, and specialist practitioners are in desperately short supply.
In rural areas, sick patients must often travel huge distances to cities just to seek routine treatment. Even then, the care they receive often falls short of what is needed.

Urgent Support for Hospitals and Patients
Ummah Welfare Trust is urgently seeking funds to support hospitals in both Afghanistan and Syria with equipment and supplies.
Funds will also be used to provide mobility aids, wheelchairs, and other essential support to the huge number of disabled people and amputees in the country.
Sadaqah and Lillah donations will be used to provide equipment, while Zakat donations will pay for mobility equipment, patients’ medicines, and treatment fees.

The lack of medical care affects the most vulnerable in society: children, the elderly, and those with disabilities. Without urgent intervention, preventable diseases will continue to claim countless lives, and thousands will be left without the treatment they desperately need.
