Help Long-Suffering Orphans

Though Syria’s war is today over, alhamdulillah, the crisis has left hundreds of thousands of children orphaned. In many of the country’s areas, at least one in three households is headed by a women—Allah forgive us.

Their fathers—and in many cases, mothers—have been killed or abducted, leaving these precious innocents to grow up all alone.

Many of these orphans are surviving in terrible conditions. They live in makeshift tents or derelict housing, and have no regular access to income, food or healthcare.

‘O Allah! I consider it a wrong action that the rights of two weak ones be violated: orphans and women.’
[Nasa’i]

Despite today’s peace, Syria’s poverty remains terribly severe. Orphans and widows make up the largest proportion of impoverished households here. Thanks to you, Ummah Welfare Trust is currently supporting over 3,000 Syria orphans in its sponsorship programme

However, many more need help. The charity has identified another 1,000 orphans in desperate need of assistance. These children have been the victims of unimaginable oppression. All of which has been hidden today’s tyrants.
