Baby Milk Powder Appeal
Support a life-saving feeding programme for Syria's malnourished children.
Donate NowSyria’s Mothers Need Help
Mothers in Syria have suffered violence, displacement and poverty. These terrible ordeals have left many of them widowed, stressed and malnourished.
With little to no income, many are struggling to provide the care and attention that their small children need.
‘Whoever from amongst you can protect himself from the fire even with half a date then he should do so.’
Fighting Malnutrition
The results are devastating. In northern Syria, many babies and children in the camps are malnourished. The mothers are too poor or sick to feed them, and little in the way of supplies is reaching them.
Ummah Welfare Trust's Baby Milk Powder Appeal runs monthly feeding programmes for babies in Idlib and Aleppo to increase their weight and thereby improve their health.
Working with their mothers, the charity gives thousands of malnourished children free milk powder regularly over many weeks and then monitors their improvement and growth.
Save Children’s Lives
Acute malnutrition is one of the deadliest conditions affecting children under five, often leaving a child too weak to digest normal meals.
This is where milk powder, a nutritious stop-gap, can help such babies overcome their immediate weakness and hunger.
This is one of Ummah Welfare Trust's most impactful programmes. Help the charity intervene at the right time in the lives of malnourished children by donating your Zakat, Sadaqah and Lillah today.
