Eid ul Fitr 1439

All praise is to Allah, Lord of all Creation, who said in His Book,
'So that you may complete the number (of fasting days), and magnify Allah for having guided you so that you may be grateful to him.'
    [2:185]

And peace and blessings be upon His Final Messenger who said,
'For every people there is a feast, and this is our feast.'
    [Bukhari]

On this blessed occasion of Eid ul Fitr, Ummah Welfare Trust conveys its wholehearted congratulations to donors, volunteers, well-wishers and staff. May Allah accept your fasting, prayers and noble deeds.

Alhamdulillah this Ramadhan has seen Ummah Welfare Trust deliver food supplies to over 70,000 needy families. From West Africa to the Far East, countless Muslims have been able to enjoy Suhoor and Iftaar thanks to you.

The blessed month has shown once again that donors continue to be hugely generous, despite the more straitened times that we're in. May Allah accept their charity, and shower them and their families with His Mercy.

And so as we have done this past month, let us continue to strive and help the poor and downtrodden - wherever we may find them.

Finally, despite the felicity of this day, we mustn't abandon our supplications for the oppressed in the Ummah. May Allah heal the wounds of families in the Middle East, East Turkistan, Burma and elsewhere. May He uplift them from the oppression and allow them to see better days.

Eid Mubarak from Ummah Welfare Trust.
