Indonesia Earthquake Appeal

A massive earthquake, followed by a tsunami, has devastated the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. At least 1,200 people have died while another 50,000 have lost their homes. Over a million in total have been affected.

The quake one was the most powerful in the region for years, reducing coastal communities and the city of Palu to rubble.

The full scale of the damage is yet to be realised and the worst may be yet to come. Many victims were already impoverished prior to the disaster and need considerable assistance now if they are to recover.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
'Deliberation in all things except in deeds that pertain to the Hereafter [good deeds].'
